Having watched the tv replays of Suarez's three goals I cannot remember seeing three better finishes for a hat trick at FCR or indeed anywhere else. The guy may have some issues but by God he can finish. Along similar lines I don't ever remember seeing such a disparity between awful defending and magnificent finishing in a match. I imagine that Mr Lambert will have given a number of players an absolute rollicking after that defensive display but against almost anyone other than an inspired Suarez they could easily have not been puished and we could have escaped with a wholly undeserved point. Let's just hope the RVP does not find a similar vein of form next weekend!
i bet munky goes for darren beckford in all honesty, suarez's hattrick was not only the best witnessed at carrow road, it was probably the best the premier league has ever seen! right up there with bergkamp vs leicester at filbert street and tevez's the other week wasn't bad either, was it!!??!!
I doubt too many will remember; 12 November 1966! An excited 13 year old (almost 14) being taken to see our new signing and centre forward Laurie Sheffield, make his debut against Derby County. It was my birthday present from my dad! I had never heard of him before and assumed that he actually came from Sheffield! I wasn't disappointed as we beat Derby 4-1 and my new hero scored a hat trick. A hat trick on your debut, wow, I was the envy of all my school mates as I had witnessed this with my own eyes from the Barclay stand. Sadly it wasn't to last, as like many childhood hero's, he failed dramatically to live up to that initial fantastic start. Still it happened in front of my eyes and has and never will be forgotten! So, this is the best hat trick I ever saw scored at Carrow Road. ILD OTBC
Holts hattrick has got to be the greatest. Mind you, simmos last goal against derby made it a hattrick and the place went bananas But I understand what you mean in terms of finishing.
i can't remember many until this season! in fact, i can only remember paul peschisolido of west brom (later of norwich of course) netting a hattrick at carrow road in the late 90s.
thing is warky, you're talking about world class players like tevez and aguero. correct me if i'm wrong, but i seem to remember you losing 7-1 earlier this season and THREE players almost bagged hattricks - paul taylor, chris mccann with braces, both of whom nearly completed hattricks and lee tomlin, who managed the feat
