Best ground in a city centre

    While composing my reply to the thread about our possible new ground I mentioned new sterile out of town grounds and quoted Bolton as an example, though it's not in a list of one, just one I know.

    On the other hand what is the best ground in a city centre? Distance from the centre is not an overriding factor, more the area that the stadium is in, so the Etihad is out.

    I actually think Peterborough have got it bang on the nail. Everything within walking distance, Charters the floating barge with real ale, City Center attractions, even down to tourist routes and Cathedral. All hotels reasonably priced and within easy reach of the stadium. Now it's not a new stadium, far from it, but it has undergone partial redevelopment and it still for now has a standing section for home fans! I reckon everything is within accessible easy walk 10/15 mins of the ground.
