I thought I'd phone the wife and say that I'd bet she'd never have thought she'd hear that song sung at a footie game. Rung the number, looked up and McFaddens shot was bulging the back of the net. Missed that goal as well! Went for a piss, heard a big cheer, thought it was family and friends at the wind up (a familiar trick when one is in the loo), only to get back to see the players and fans celebrating. I've lost count of the times I've missed Celtic goals. For a while I thought I was a ****ing jinx!
Celtic 3 Hearts 1 in the mid 90's John Collins scored a hat-trick. I only saw the second goal. I was away getting pies for everyone and missed all the other goals. Was absolutely gutted as Collins was my favourite player at that point.
Celtic v Rangers at the old Parkhead. '94 Ne'er game I think. Anyway, going to the match, a crowd of Celtic fans came into the Rangers end and a mass brawl broke out and we never got to the ground until 5 mins before kick off only to be met with a huge queue. Anyway, we never got in until 30 mins gone, by which time Rangers were 3 up Managed to get in just as Ally Maxwell was getting attacked by a Celtic fan on the pitch. Game finished 4-2 to Rangers
First two goals in the 6-2 win over Rangers arrived back from 2 weeks on the piss in gran canaria the night before and slept in. Woke up and turned on the telly just as Rod Wallace (i think it was him) scores for the huns and thought ah ****.....worked out alright in the end though. was so ****ing sick i didnt even appreciate the Henrik chip until the day after
