Poom for me, one of only a few away games I've been and probably my favorite. Quinn's is a sublime example of football, the pass to gray is incisive, the cross inch perfect, the header unbelievable and Given's hopeless attempt satisfying!

Going back a bit, Charlie Hurley against Norwich in the cup was special header, most of his goals from corners were legend, but the spice on this one was the Norwich manager had singled out our hero as the weakness in the team, as in his opinion, " he played too much football for a center half ". The final score was one nil and ball was headed with such ferocity it looked like it had been riveted into net the ball sticking firmly into the angle of the back stanchion.

I met Charlie and his wife a few years back, it was outside of football, and spent about 30 minutes in their company, he came over as a very modest down to earth gent and it was a privaledge to meet them. We talked mainly about the town in the 60's not football which I kept away from, but my overriding surprise was that he was not that tall, which was a real surprise since he looked a colossus on the field, as indeed he was.

Superb that mind - the one I posted carries a massive amount of luck - there is much more skill involved in that one! Immense.

He's a player I hope we can get the best out of - if his head is right he's class. Undoubtedly skilled - just a bit of an arse when it comes to the crunch
