If you believe that PISKIE why not debate it on the thread you created rather than hide from it? I've never known an OP create a thread and not have the balls to return to it again, no matter how stupid and owned he is
And you are only on this thread because you are too ashamed to comment on the thread you created. At least HIAG does not hide. Arsenal's culture of failure and bottling even extends to their 606 posters!
Pelligrini said the Chavs are boring ****s, what's to argue about that ? you two can mass-debate together on this if you want. To everybody else it's crystal clear
Giroud not in the top six for his position? Please name me the five who have out performed him. He has the second best shot to goal ratio in the league after Costa and amongst the top few for goals per game too. He's been on fire this season and really only Kane, aguero and Costa could claim to have had a better season.
Well it's a matter of opinion but I don't think 1 in 2 is all that great for a lone striker in a team that has as much of the ball as Arsenal. Costa, Aguero and Rooney are streets ahead for me. Benteke is on 13 from 28 despite playing in a terrible, defensive Villa team most of the season. Kane, in an inferior side, has 20 goals. Austin, in a team that never creates anything at all has somehow got 17. Difficult to compare but plonk any of those in Arsenal's team this season and I think they'd look at least as good. Playing number nine for Arsenal isn't a hugely difficult role IMO.
It's a massively difficult role as we expect a lot of play to go through the front man. The hold up play, link up play and strength in the air are all key parts of how we play as a team this season. I think Costa, Kane and giroud would all do a similar job. Any player like Rooney or aguero would require a change in the way we play and the expectations on the striker. Not that I don't highly rate both players. Also the players you mention, Austin for example takes his teams penalties, so you can take off a handful of goals. Only Kane, aguero and Costa can claim to have had a better season this time around than Giroud and Giroud spent half the season out injured. Giroud averages twenty goals a season for the last six years of his career, he's a consistent CF who adds a lot to our game other than goals. There aren't many strikers in the league I'd rather have tbh. I'd like to see a more pacey striker with some trickery in the team to play when Giroud isn't tactically the best option though. Giroud is top quality, but not world class.
