A lot of discussion in the media about this currently.

    Kane for me.

They are all very good, but Agüero on the basis that he has been doing it for years and has actually won the PL twice. And he’s been successful under multiple different managers and in different countries. I’d like to see Kane play in Spain for a bit.

I would have agreed with Agüero (I copied your correct spelling) until recently, but every time I see Kane he seems to get better. It will be interesting to see how he goes in the more difficult Champions League games.

The alternative way of looking at things is that defences are getting worse. Lee Dixon was having kittens on the Champions League round up programme last night. Have to say I am continually surprised by Kane though, he really is very good, scores all sorts of goals.

Suárez best striker I have seen in the PL in recent years.

Kane has something different for me

He can finish moves like the others but he only needs the ball and chances are he will have a pop from anywhere

His movement makes him look unmarkable couple the composure and for me is clearly ahead

Best I have seen since zidane

I thought I'd initially go for Aguero, but have changed my mind and voted for Kane. He's a goal machine and does it with arguably lesser players around him and as a lone striker. The other night in Nicosia was a good example, perfect hat trick, left foot, right foot, header.

I half-heard a stat on the wireless the other day (before this weeks CL game) that Kane's goals were from an average of 16.2 yards. I didn't hear what period that applied to, but I think it must have been this season because it couldn't be sustained over a long period. Even so, it's remarkable.

For comparison, Okazaki of Leicester scores from an average of 16.2 inches

At least we have a choice with this question. I’m really struggling to think of World class defenders in the PL. Kompany when he’s not knackered perhaps. I’m sure there aren’t any English ones.

Didn't we try to get Kane on loan a while ago?

I think Kompany has long gone.

Here's some more Harry Kane stats Strolls ...

He has scored 6 (six) hat tricks in 2017 alone.

Those six are as many as Messi, Ronaldo and Lewandowski combined over the course of the last year.

Harry Kane has scored more goals in 2017 than these premier league clubs ...
    Harry Kane - 34 Southampton - 33 Swansea - 33 Burnley - 32 Watford - 31 Stoke - 28 WBA - 27 C.Palace - 26.

Kane is only the second Englishman to score in four consecutive Champions League matches. Gerrard was the other.

He's beaten the total of Champions League goals scored by any English player in the past seven seasons... in just two games.

He has scored 14 goals in his last six away games. ( In all competitions. )

Redknapp tried to sign him on loan twice in the two seasons he was here.

What happened to our Chaz? He did so well for us in our last outing in the prem<ok>

    2014/15

    prem.JPG

Only at QPR could we have a top four scoring striker and get relegated<doh>

I have not kept tabs on Chaz since his move to the Saints. Is he having injury issues or just not getting many starts?

On current form, which is what the question asks it has to be Kane without doubt but in terms of skill and ruthless finishing over the past six or so years Aguero is head and shoulders above any other finisher. The few times I've seen him at Loftus Road he has been sublime, both in the art of finishing and also the ability to create chances out of nothing which sets him apart. As others mention the art of defending appears to be disappearing which is making for more entertaining games...

Where Sergio has ‘Kun’ on the back of his shirt before ‘Aguero’, I’d like Harry to have ‘Kandi’. :)

Looks like Aguero won't be doing much striking for a while, broken a rib in a car smash in Holland. Bet Pep will be well pissed off...

I recall one 'goal' he got at LR that was gushed over on MOTD, ignoring the inconvenient facts that he was offside and he handled it.
