Just out of interest who do you think the best City player is to have played for Rovers, has to of played for City before Rovers. I can't think of to many from my era of watching the gas I would say Steve Phillips.
TC Played and Managed us before he was seduced by the dark side. He managed them and got promotion from the pld 4th division. I suppose it has to be Phillips although I thought Coles was doing ok before his big injury problems was **** after that.
Many people overlook Pete Aitken. The only player to captain BOTH teams,. Still doing great work at Rovers running the Community Department. Also one of the eight who saved City from extinction !! Also Peter Hooper....................
If we are still looking for the BEST player, no one so far in the same class as Peter Hooper. Its a bit like comparing Big John to Trevor Tainton with the rest.
