Following on from the Holt Twitter thread I was thinking to myself which opposing players have been the best for taking and dishing out banter with the crowd or opposing players.
For example, I couldn't help but think that Leighton Baines was blimmin hilarious on Saturday. He knew very well that he shouldn't have ever been allowed to stay on the pitch and was being targetted by the crowd so when he strolled over to take the corner in front of the snake pit, who gave him a warm welcome, he rolled the ball over the quadrant, much to the anger of the fans who went ballistic, then rolled the ball back with a smile and an appreciative nod as if to say ha - had you lot there! Top banana!
