I'm willing to be generous in terms of what is classified as Sunderland, if it's on the outskirts and technically a little town or village of it's own, I'm happy for that to be considered Sunderland. Moved away from the area 10 years ago and considering moving back now, which areas are best?
Pffft - some lovely places by the coast - maybe I should have said North Tyneside, instead of Newcastle.....
Honestly I wouldn't want to live through that way, a part of coming home is exactly that, to be around my people and Geordies are not my people.
Moved into a new build in Ryhope about 18 months ago, 10 minutes from Sunderland and a bit shorter to Seaham, moved back from Devon after 20 years and never regretted it once.
Moved home coming up 2 years ago to Wingate and we love it. Active supporters branch gets me to home games, kids settled and thriving in their schools. Quiet Street with really good neighbours that look out for each other. Couldn't be happier
please log in to view this image I've come up with this. Obviously Seaburn, Fulwell, Cleadon and Whitburn are all quite nice. Not as informed on West Boldon but East Boldon always looked leafy when I've driven through. The first part of New Herrington you hit, where The Stables are, again looks leafy around there. Burdon always looked nice as well and I've included parts of East Herrington.
