Lol, seeing that green kit reminded me of our infamous "we can't see each other when we're wearing it" grey kit. I mean look at him - Giggsy's practically invisible!

Of all SAF's magnificent excuses over the years, that one takes the cake. Lee Sharpe even admitted it was bollox and we just played ****, although he waited ten years to admit it! And probably did it from way out of from Fergie's hearing <laugh>

I seem to remember reading that they introduced it cos it went better with jeans that our usual bright red effort. So it was basically a massive marketing gimick. I think it lasted for five away games. We drew four of those and lost the other. Then after we stopped wearing it we went unbeaten to the end of the season, although I don't think we would have worn it again anyway as we only wore it when the other team wore red.

I also read that we employed a full time optometrist after this game to make sure our colour selections were better in future. She told us the reason we lost 4-1 to the Scouse in 2009 was cos VDS was wearning blue instead of yellow, and so he has never worn a blue top for us again! And you guys think Wenger has a scientific approach to football... <laugh>
