According to Martin Tyler, we are comfortably the best in league when it comes to playing against other teams in the top half of the table. Maybe that should come as no surprise seeing as we're top of the league, but I think it's unusual that nearly half (28 out of 57) points have come against the top ten. Compare that to flat-track bullies Arsenal who have taken only 13 out of 53 points from top half teams. http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,12038_6757094,00.html
Interesting stat, but probably not worth reading all that much into. After all, we have played 7 matches at home against the top 10, with 7 wins, whilst Arsenal have only played 5 matches at home against them. And a defeat to the top 10 still only costs you as many points as a defeat to Wolves... But it does make a nice change from 2008-09, when I think we got four or five points from a possible 18 against the rest of the top 4!
