    Anyone read it?

I have just started today having heard Jonathan Legards assertions that it is a brilliant book and hugely insightful, and I am very curious to know more about Ecclestone as he's a pretty impressive bloke tbh.

Started on my lunch break and Frank Williams wrote the foreword which was bloody class and got me pretty excited, and now I am struggling with the piss poor writing skills of the author Susan Watkins, wife of the legendary Sid Watkins, and her "I'm Bernies bezzie mate" crap.

I was particularly dismayed also when I saw that BE had downgraded it from an "authorised" to "unauthorised" biography.

Can somebody please assure me that it is worth the time to percevere with it, because if there's another 450 pages of this **** it's going in the composter<ok>

I've not read it but from what you say, it sounds like you don't need much persuasion to put it down.

It's only on the early life bit at the moment, but it's her style that is grating me...I'll obviously make my own mind up at some later stage of the book but just wondered if anyone else could shed some light<ok>

I have it but I've not read it. Its one of the many books I've picked up in the airport for my trips and will soon be started (Almost at the end of the Hitchhikers guide - trilogy of five).
I know this reply doesn't actually help you but the thread may end up helping me :p

Bernie would probably try and sue anyone who actually wrote a 'warts and all' biography on him, the only biography I ever read was 'Mr Nice', and I was bored 1/3rd of the way through. As to hitchhikers guiide, how'd you get on with them BLS? I thought he ran out of ideas after the 2nd one. If you wanna good laugh try 'catch-22', hilariuous book, awful film.

I read them a few years ago so I thought I'd go again. I think its a bit tired after the 3rd one but still worth a read
