Yes, I read. Regardless of your feelings about him, he is an upgrade on Cech who has deteriorated alarmingly and will only get worse.

It's hard to say with keepers. Sometimes people say 'they are on the way out' and they they hit a good run of form again.
For sure he was making too many errors last Season but that's also Leno's issue.

Hopefully Leno will develop into a World Class over time.

Cech has been error prone ever since he arrived at the club. Just watch our first game of the 2014/15 season against West Ham. Shambolic. At least Leno will have time to grow and improve. I am confident that with the right coaching, he will be a good goalkeeper for us. And, also, I'd rather we improved our defence so that the goalie won't be exposed as much. The more saves your goalkeeper has to make, the worse your defence is.

First thing I'd say is fair play to the club for identifying that the goalkeeper position was an area that needed to be upgraded. Neither Cech or Ospina are of the required standard for us to compete.

However, I've said before that I'm not sold on Leno. He's prone to quite a few clangers and doesn't command his area as much as I'd like, from what I've seen of him.

What I will say is that he is still only 26 years old and has time to improve. Maybe a change of environment would do him a world of good.

In any case, Emery and the scouting team have seen something in him that suggests he can be a success here, so I'll trust their judgment for now.

I hope this one works out <ok>

I didn't see anything outrageously bad in that video. You can always say that a goalkeeper can do better, but the defense was woeful and there was no goal where you could say that the goal was mainly his fault.
