As you all know we certainly lack a creative midfielder and have recently spent ridiculous amount of money on young players, who have yet to deliver what they're capable off. Beram Kayal is a Israeli central midfielder for Celtic and has caught SAF's eye during the Rangers game earlier this month. Kayal is a 22 year old who joined Celtic from a club known as Maccabi Haifa. He's also confessed that he would like too play for Man Utd and is shocked that we've been linked with him. Celtic are in a situation where they cannot say no to that kind of offer, as they are not guaranteed playing in the CL.
Liam Miller was just breaking into our team as an exciting prospect, barely started 15 games for us before Man Utd snapped him up on a pre-contract after Fergie watched him run rampant against Lyon in the CL. He ruined his career by sitting on the bench at United. Kayal has barely started 15 games for Celtic. He's had a couple of crackers and was very good in that Old Firm match that Fergie attended. I was worried in case he got any funny notions about him. He needs to stay at Celtic for a couple of seasons, play some Champions League football and mature into a better player rather than struggle to make the Man Utd bench.
If he was to join Man Utd, he'd actually mature into a better player by training with the likes off Giggs, Scholes, Rio & Nani. As he's stated himself he would be more than happy to play for Man Utd but I would like him too play a few more games. Do you seriously reckon he'd struggle making the squad? He would surely take Gibson's place if were to sign him.
Its too soon for the player to move to Man U he's very similar to Darren Flecture but without the experiance. He's not scholes or someone who will play loads of great ball to runners and burst beyond the front line to find space.
I'm saying that a player who is just breaking into the Celtic team probably won't go and be in the United first team straight away. There is an argument also on whether it's better to get first team football for a lower club or train with a higher club. Celtic are certainly of a lower quality than Man Utd but we have some of the best training facilities in the UK and a squad packed with full internationals. Playing first team football, especially if we manage a run in Europe next season, must be better for a player's development than simply training with world class players.
