https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news...-brom-sell-saido-berahino-144046545--sow.html Rumours that WBA will look to sell Berahino. It was shameful when he dissed the club in public....we can empathise with their fans....happened to us in the summer. A bit of an empty threat though as he wants to leave.
Might be seen as petty and unrealistic of WBA to consider themselves as capable of fulfilling a player's dreams of bigger things, but it has always been said, perhaps erroneously, that nobody is bigger than a club. Well, patently that is not true if players live in a world where they can talk about their present club as a mere stepping stone and about moving on to bigger and better things.
Don't mind players wanting moves, but should all be done behind the scenes. There is still a lot of the season to go and he has to play in front of WBA fans....I know that scoring goals will make them happy, but he's destroyed their love for him. Just sad.
Exactly what Fran says. I don't think many disagree with his reasoning. But to publically run down the club you are playing for and assume that you will be their saviour is massively arrogant even by footballer standards. He may even find himself dropped after those comments
Apparently he has also been fined for turning up late to training and on match days....not something you'd expect from a youngster (in every other part of life perhaps, but not football).
Wouldn't want this "Big Time Charlie" at our club, thinks he is better than he is and appears to be a disruptive influence I do love these kids who have half a decent season and all of a sudden decide they only want to play one of the big boys/CL teams....priceless arrogance He only needs to look at one of his U21 team mates in Zaha as to what can happen when you get too big for your boots
What spend a season or 2 at one of the biggest clubs in the world, earning a lot more money than he otherwise would've before moving back to a team more your level? I'm sure he is gutted.
A sad statement but altogether true....its a shame in a short sporting career to waste a couple of years of it sat on your backside counting the reams of cash only to drop back down below where you should have been if you had continued playing. Look at Sinclair, top player for a very good Swansea team and on the edge of the England squad, big move to City with loads of cash. A couple of unsuccessful loan spells then shipped out to relegation threatened Villa who are playing very poorly. Its a tough decision to make
Don't think anyone intentionally goes to sit and rake in the money...they think they will play, but sometimes they get it wrong.
Tony Pulis has said he never had any phone calls for Berahino in January and would have done if he was at top 4 club level. Says he needs to keep working at his performances to get to that level. Berahino should shut up. get his head down and listen to his manager.
