You heard it here first. Real will sell benzema to arsenal for 40m then buy Suarez on the last 3 days of this transfer window for 60. Leaving us cash rich but fooked as a club. I can then see us trying an audacious move for some player but not sure whom

or

If this happens and we get 60 million I would hope we don't spend it until at least Jan.

We have brought in Sturridge and Aspas and that should do us till Jan, no point having a long term plan only to go rushing out spending 30 40 million on a player worth 20m+ because of the lateness of the timing unless we do find an appropriate player which is unlikely this late on. I'd rather we took our time on this one if Suarez does go.

I think this is what will happen if he goes to Madrid

 

Unless we have done our homework and already got targets in mind. I don't want us to sell unless we are going to bring someone else in at a reasonable price.

 

This is yet another reason why having the window open after the start of the season is totally wrong.

It should open the minute the last ball of the season is kicked & be closed a week before the new season begins.

It ruins clubs preparations for the season, forces them into panic buys at inflated prices & all because a handful of 'bully boy' big clubs think they can do what they like & leave some of these moves to the death, to suit their own agendas, it's fundamentally wrong.

We might have already scouted many potential replacements as a contingency. The difficulty will lie in whether any of those potential players will want to sign for us and whether Ayre is capable of doing anything.

 

LFC won't sell him with 3 days to go.

Unless the offer is past 50m which it probably will be.
