wonder how much Villa still owe us for Bent rekon we should go all out for the Belgian star in Benteke and go all out for him (maybe in summer), much rather get a big powerful player who can score goals than a Danny Graham or Garry Hooper. Benteke or that sort of player is exactly what we need, I think he would be well worth anything up to 18m that lad how old is he? 22-23, he is great in the air, great on the deck, can hold the ball up as good as anyone, decent pace, the lad is going to go on and get better and better, easily will get 20-25 a season in goals and assists combined
He's quality, I wrote a post about him aswell a few weeks back, I wish Ming could've tipped Marty off about him! I'm hoping Wickham can play the role of the striker you've just described. He's a big unit, and as he matures his touch and finishing will get better and better. We just need Marty to give him more of a chance!
If Benteke leaves Villa it will be to a champions league team. Pundits are already giving him the new Drogba tag
Agreed great signing if possible but I also want to develop Wickham but not at the expense of another striker, Im not to sure why we are being linked with strikers as it is not a problem at the minute, the problem is keeping possession of the football hence the central midfield additions. Central defence must be priority now, I think we need to get Samba out of Russia at all costs!
If you want to develop Wickham ( and fletch for that matter) and you want to sure up the defence then samba is that man, one of the best headers of the game IMO.
I'd love Samba too, unfortunately he's on over a 100k a week in Russia, so I can't see us getting him!
Samba must be a multi millionaire so if he is serious about getting out of Russia and the racism surely he would accept a pay cut. At least ask the question.
