http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15718233 Suspended Labour peer Baroness Uddin is set to be allowed back into the House of Lords without repaying the £125,000 she owes in wrongly claimed expenses. It is understood she claims she cannot afford to make the repayments demanded. A House of Lords committee banned her from the Lords in October last year until April 2012. When the ban ends she can return to the House of Lords and claim expenses again without having repaid the money she was told to by the committee. The decision to allow peers to return even if they have not repaid money owed comes despite a warning it risks bringing the Lords "into further disrepute". +++++++ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15594452 Two peers convicted of expenses fraud should be suspended from the House of Lords, a key committee has said. Lord Taylor and Lord Hanningfield were jailed earlier this year for claiming expenses dishonestly, although both have since been released on licence. The Lords privileges and conduct committee said the two men should be banned from the Upper Chamber until next June and May respectively. The Lords will vote next week on whether to impose the bans. These ****ing criminals should be in prison and then banned from all public life - instead, they do some token ban and then they return sqeaky clean again. Corruption on a major scale by the rich and priviledged.
