Maybe....but without another forward he's wasted. NICKLAS Bendtner says his views over his future at Sunderland have been lost in translation. In interviews given in his home country earlier this month, the Danish striker was quoted saying he wanted to be playing Champions League football next season â an ambition which would seem to rule him out of any prolonged stay at the Stadium of Light. But this week at the Academy, the on-loan 23-year-old Arsenal man insisted those putting two and two together and insisting thereâs no way heâll be at Sunderland next season have got it wrong. âIâve never hidden the fact that Iâm very keen to play in the Champions League again,â he said. âBut I also read that Iâd said if I donât play in the Champions League, I wonât be playing for Sunderland. âThatâs not the case, but thatâs how they mis-interpret Danish into English. âAs a player, you should have ambition â Iâm sure every player you speak to wants to play in the Champions League. âBut I havenât ruled out staying at Sunderland. âAs Iâve said before, I just want to enjoy the year I have here and then see what happens in the summer http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...tner_won_t_rule_out_sunderland_stay_1_3993984
Good lad Bendy, dont let them get you down, get a couple on Saturday, one fro m Noble then we will get you a playmate in January. Then with you, your new mate, Ryan and Campbell, not forgetting Ji we can get moving.
Given a choice would love Connor & Frazier to be our main two forwards with Bendy as back up. Wont happen tho.
I think tactically the best thing we can do here is shut up. There have been things wrong at Sunderland - some are obvious, like team selection, substitutions, etc. Some we'll probably never know - what was the true story behind three successive international strikers going sour? I think as the new management kicks in, an awful lot of players will be wanting to change tack and, if possible, save face. A month ago, for example, Mrs. Sessegnon was said to be unhappy on Wearside, and have you noticed how many positive press releases Mr. Sess has done lately? I say let's turn a blind eye. If Sessegnon, Bendtner &co. wish to change their tune, that can only be good for the club. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yeah?
