I do like his confidence but Sunderland is the place of shattered dreams and no doubt his time at the SOL will test even someone of Bendtner's confidence.

Surely we Sunderland fans are due some good times ahead!

I think that Sunderland fans are crying out for a forward player that they can really hang their hats on..Let's hope that he does a 'Super Kev' and scores on his debut in a home victory.

Great piece in the Star on Bendtner today, i can't be arsed to write the whole thing, here's the highlights....

'according to Denmark coach Morten Olsen the it is the move to Sunderland which will really revive his career..'

'Bendtners performance on Tuesday was a flashback to his best performances of a few years back......he has dropped 5 kilos over summer and the move to Sunderland has lifted a huge weight off his shoulders....the impact cannot be underestimated...'

Now, Olsen knows his ****ing stuff, is a hugely respected coach, so i like his views on this.

I think Nicklas will be a big hit for us, i really do.

Good to see his confidence, I've thought this has been lacking from our team for a long time.

Hopefully he (along with brown and o'shea) can start to change our mentality.

Think we have a decent chance mate.

We all know Chelsea are better than us, but they haven't kicked this season, even though they have a decent show of points, Norwich really stretched them last time out, who knows.

A good crowd, and a bit of a lift from getting a striker in, we'll give them a game for sure.

We have decent record of propelling player's careers.

Namely, Evans, Downing and Welbeck in recent years, and hopefully, this time, maybe this lad will stay on after he propels us into the top 8 !

I hope so mate, i said the other week when he signed, i think he's the kinda lad that would thrive on feeling loved by the fans, he starts knocking them in, he'll get that here.

For all that he is a wee bit cocky, better that than a shrinking violet, there's a lot of good vibes as well, leaving Arsenal for us to play games, when there was interest from big German clubs, his declaration that he wishes to play for FC Copenhagen one day, all pointers to a lad who gives a **** about the game, not just the £ signs.

He's got a great start with me from these things, add a few goals, and i'll quickly feel the love for the fella, only in the football sense mind..

Aye, we may have quietened down in recent years, but we rip the piss out of them Arsenal fans, it's like a ****ing graveyard down there!

Good that it's a big game and a big crowd for his debut as well, on the back of his showing on Tuesday, which if the reports are to be believed, was exceptional.

Cant say I'm that bothered about him scoring or being a success. I'm also 12 stone, age 23 and have a massive dick.

So, please, Mr Bruce, Bendtner and Gyan up top, Sessegnon just behind, eight players in their rightful positions behind them and let's go for it!

    It really does.
I think I would go for
    Mignolet
    O'Shea, Brown, Bramble, Bardsley
    Larsson, Colback/Cattermole?, Gardner/Vaughan?
    Sess
    Gyan, Bendtner

Just had a look at the kids utube goals n stuff, when he's on song he looks like he can do it all. I honestly wonder what Andy Carroll could claim to have that Bendtner hasn't - In fact Bendtner is quicker, far more experienced at the very top level, has scored against some of the best in the world including Barca at Camp Nou. Lets get behind the kid!

I'd have that, with Catts, and i'd play Ricco in the left hand midfield berth.

Give him a few games there, try and keep an effective front 3 of Sess, Gyan and Bendtner, Sess just off the top 2 , as you've suggestedd

That's the kinda talk i like mate!

The lad is a quality footballer, not fitting in at Arsenal? Doesn't make him any less of a player.

He's got decent feet, and he's good in the air, he has the odd clumsy moment, but then,so does Gyan.

He'll be quality for us, i'm certain.
