Basically, he's Paul Gallagher but he's younger, quicker, better on the ball, can head it, can tackle and will run all day. Looks a class act and I hope he gets another chance in that free role he had today because he was awesome in it.
Same can be said about Drinkwater and Wellens Ben Marshall was class today. If it wasnt for Lloyd Dyer then Marshall would of been man of the match.
I'd have said the other way around. I thought Marshall was class and was better than Dyer because he influenced the play better. Someone phoned in the radio and made a very good point. Under MO'N we had Savage, the ball winning no nonsense die hard (Danns), we had Lennon (Drinkwater) , the man to give the ball to and who will always make the right pass and we had Izzet (Marshall) who got on the ball and made the magic happen. He said we saw the furture of Leicester City and, to be honest, I couldn't agree more. Danns is 29 but Drinkwater is only 22 and Marshall is only 20.
In the summer i think we should sell Wellens as he can no longer perform to his best. Andy King is back soon to add to that aswell
Tbh, people that were saying Pearson out last week after the Blackpool game have something to think about. Drinkwater, Marshall and Morgan all played well today, and they are all Pearson buys, well Walsh buys, but they come as a package that lad knows talent more than Simon Cowell.
We are starting to see signs of Pearson's team coming together. I was saying earlier Pearson is careful with the players he says while Sven just signed anybody and tried to glue a team together Nigel is building a team together
4-2-3-1 It's the same Real Madrid and Man City play. Madrid play with Ozil in the hole and City play with Silva.
Yeah as AKCJ's said Nugent went on the left with Dyer down the right and Ben Marshall floated around the middle and it did work but it left Beckford a little isolated from support at times but Dyer as you can guess did get forward and support him quite quickly
and dyer was good on the right? Hate him there but glad to see he did well. Marshall should play more, when he plays we seem to win- gives us good balance. And did drinkwater and danns look solid enough defensively for that??
Dyer did very well today and was my man of the match. He absolutely destroyed their left back on pace. If he played on the left he would of been against Rosenior who is not slouch in a race plus Lloyd probably would of ended up with a broken leg with how Rosenior tackles
I think Dyer has so much potential but i actually think its his football brain or lack of one that prevents him from achieving it. He did play very well today and has done in a few other matches also but i think he would be more consistent if he made smarter decisions. Personally i think it would be better off having him pushing someone else as a super sub and challenging them for a first team place. Lcfc#fan
Good win yesterday. At home, we are playing well right now. I didn't think we started the game too well, especially with the early goal and then only a good save denying Josh King but then the two quick-fire goals from us left them rocking a bit and we looked more comfortable from then on. Hull passed the ball a lot but didn't make too many in-roads (as Proud said, I think you missed Koren today) and it was good to see the old Nigel Pearson resilience and team spirit and dogged defending back and that is something we need to strive for on a more consistent basis. Also, especially with the 10 men, we saw the game out well because I think half our probelms are becoming pshycological now and this'll help in that respect. Morgan was a big factor in this - lead the back-line well. Nigel got his tactics spot on today by matching up Hull and not allowing them to out-number us in the middle. Also starting with Dyer on the right so he could run at Dawson rather than Rosenior was a good move. Beckford did well in the lone role up top because when he's played there before, he hasn't been prepared to work off the ball and put in the leg work required but he did that and made it a lot harder for them to play from the back. Still improabale that we'll make the play-offs but for next season, we're showing that we're capable when we do turn up. If we can play like that more regularly, we'll be right up there.
