    ... genuine or PR stunt?

... for me Ben - don't care whether you like us or not - but DO realise whilst you are collecting your £10grand a week (or however much that is) that we would play for free and run ourselves into the ground for the club ... and that we spend a huge amount of our disposable income following our team ... prove it on the pitch son by putting the effort in - we don't even mind you being crap sometimes as long as you put a shift in ...

You could say the same thing about the rest of the side at Barnsley Fosse, Kasper, Moore & Schlupp were the only ones who looked like they cared.

... and another reason why Nugent's constant grinning gets my goat ... it suggests 'oh well, never mind..' whilst I'm ******* furious ...

Sometimes you need to go with youth to overcome a lack of confidence ... they just want to play ... I'd even contemplate putting Waggy in midfield right now and tell him just to win it and give it to Knocky or Dyer ...

Dyer is another one who frustrates the hell out of me, he does the hard part and gets past the man and then balls it up by not being able to cross or reluctant to have a shot - more self belief he'd be a hell of a player.

Dyer is unplayable at times - and also a very likeable individual - quite correct in your assessment IMHO

PS have merged the Ben Marshall threads ..

    Waghorn and Schlupp up top.

And f**k it, at least Vardy will run and run and run!

I wonder how King would do up top or behind a target man, he has a good shot and head on him and gets in the position to have a go and him in midfield at the moment is a waste of time as he's reluctant/scared to get stuck in.

... doesn't come natural to King agreed - but he did get stuck in against Wolves and didn't shy from that awful Karl Henry tackle ... I think he is improving with experience on that front ... and his definite advantage is that he is a good finisher .. both on the deck and in the air ..

King's best position is attacking midfield, where he doesn't have to worry about his physicality. Sort of a Jack Wilshere type role where he constantly interact with the forwards, but Pearson is so old-fashioned I don't think he's yet realised what attacking midfield is. It's no coincidence that King's best days were under Sven, who didn't harness him to being an all-round footballer.

personally i dont believe that king up top would work as what made him so good was ghosting in late from midfield unmarked.

I think he would have been forced to apoligise by either Nigel or the higher powers at the club

He is a outstanding player as we have seen but this season he has got worse as the season has gone on. He needs to sort that out or his career will end of going downhill

He could have done with a loan to get his confidence back, but he's still young, and I'm pretty sure it's just a blip in form. Seems surprising though that this time last year he was scoring a 30-yarder every other week.

He was better central than out wide.

I think the regret is that has been highlighted, I always tend to think the first reaction is the real character of the person.....<ok>

Ben Marshall reminds me of Cameron Stewart, we all thought he was class when he first joined but since then his form has dropped and he's been loaned out several times. I hope for Marshall's sake he doesn't waste his talent like Stewart did.

Lets hope not Taylor, the boy has obviously got talent, what for what ever reason it has vanished over the last few weeks, along with all the other players too!!
