    From his twitter:

Will be interesting to see what happens now in regards to our GK division. Who goes, who stays, who will be content as third choice etc.

For those who don't know much about him his Reading player profile states:

Like many others I think this may mean the end of his charlton career for Robbie Elliott. Powell has signed 3 keepers now all be it one of them an apprentice but I doubt hamer and Sullivan would've joined knowing that they'd be 3rd choice, Hamer especially as he's already doing that in the league above

Could possibly feature vs Carshalton tomorrow. Anyone going? Will assume it to be a Charlton XI but would think he needs a game before saturday? Unless he is here as 2nd choice.

Noticed he kept 20 clean sheets for Brentford a couple years back in League 2. No matter what league, thats impressive!

Has to mean Elliot is on his way out - His twitter seems to intimate that maybe a bid has been accepted but he doesn't want to move on. My money is on West Ham!

As with all goalkeepers, Hamer obviously has his off days :D

Sadly I also see this as the end of Elliot, a shame as he's one of us and one of the few who gave a damn about playing for the club last season

He is one of us, but I still don't think he is good enough. Not very good at stopping long shots, and does'nt command his area very well. Fair play though, as he does look a bit slimmer this pre-season, but I doubt that will last long, as he likes his takeaways too much. won't be long before he starts piling on the pounds.

So true Mart... I think it's a terrible shame he's going. Imo he has the makings of a terrific keeper. However, for me his development has been massively hindered in the last 18 months or so. There's a number of contributing factors for why that's been the case. All of which I'm sure we're well aware of.

Maybe a change of club is just what the kid needs to get himself back on track.

Never gave anything less than a hundred percent and wore the shirt with pride... I hope he goes away and becomes a top goalkeejerseynd one day he'll return home and reclaim the number one jersey.

Good luck Robbo "Chunky" Elliott.. Gone but never forgotten.

Just read in SLP that this deal is worth in excess of 250k! Thought it was a nominal fee.

AllHell, I won't be waiting around for the tunnel jump if he does leave. He's being kicked out the door and its a disgrace really considering he was the only player last season who seemingly cared, and has loved the club his whole life.

£250,000 is a hell of a lot of money considering we already have Robbo (for now at least) and Sullivan. That price tag along with his shirt number shows he will clearly be first choice.

Why is it the club pushing Elliot's hands?

    Cp rates Elliot VERY highly.
