I know it's not to do with QPR but all these players refraining from playing for their country to "prolong their club career" really p*sses me off.

Most people would do anything to pull on the three lions and play for their nation at Wembley and I mean ANYTHING. And for these players to pass off the opportunity I find almost offensive. Passing off the opportunity of playing at a World Cup to give yourself the chance to play Wigan away?

    Come on. Priorities straight please.

    Rant over.

Tell you the truth, I'm glad, you could see the fear in his eyes.

    I find it sad.

Old players like Bobby Charlton must see this and scratch their bald heads with astonishment.

You're a long time dead, they should make the most of the opportunites that come their way in life, including internationals, playing for your country used to be the pinnacle of a career, apparently it comes 2nd now to extending your Birmingham career.

I'd never pick him for England again, and all fans should boo him next season.

Everyone seems to boo players who turn out for England and **** things up, at least they have turned up, surely this is worse.

I don't care if people don't think he was good enough either - its not the point if your country calls you should be ready and willing to play.

Basically what he is saying is that he wants to extend the period that he is is able to earn 20K a week and that this is more important to him than playing for his country, which in my book makes him a money grabbing tosser - AKA a premership footballer

got to be honest and say i dont he is anywhere near good enough. hart is leagues ahead of him and i think younger keepers like camp and joe lewis deserve more of a chance. he's in similar boat to scott carson in that he's going to be a premier league journeyman and play around lots of different clubs but never really achieve success. as it is, any player that says they dont want to play is not fit to pull on the shirt in my opinion
