If he was ever to come out of retirement, would we really want him in the England squad? He makes up an excuse to retire from England but as soon as a new manager is in he comes out of retirement. That's not the sort of attitude I want to see in a footballer. It would poison the England squad, saying it's ok to abandon a team but as soon as things start looking better he jumps back on the ship! There are plenty of players out there who would love to play for England who would be far more deserving than Foster. While his to decision to retire in order to extend his club career, despite being a 'keeper, baffles me I'm glad that he's sticking to retirement.
