    Did anyone expect him to?

    He's here to revitalise his career, he's a player with ability far above our station. We both benefit from him being here this season. If he performs to his level of ability this season he'll have no problem getting a free move to a big club in the summer.

    If he wants to end up at a top European club he'll need to prove his worth with us for the rest of the season.

    If he doesn't come up to the standard they want he may well stay with us.

    Either way we benefit.

    Short term gold or long term silver.
