    Taken from Lee Bull**** Ryder...

HATEM Ben Arfa is back on Tyneside.

The Newcastle United midfielder was granted a leave of absence last week after a family member was taken ill in Tunisia.

It meant that the French international star was withdrawn from the reserve side that beat Bolton Wanderers 3-0 in Leyland.

Ben Arfa though is now raring to go for the meeting with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at St James' Park. And Chroniclelive can reveal the former Marseille ace trained yesterday in preparation for the Premier League clash.

United boss Alan Pardew will be eagerly waiting to see if Yohan Cabaye comes through France's Euro 2012 qualifier with Bosnia later tonight after the ex-Lille star picked up an ankle knock against Albania.

Good stuff. I'm thinking he might start against Spurs, as we need to boss the midfield, which I think we can do with Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Jonas and Marveaux/Squidward. Obviously they have Modric, Lennon, Bale etc. but if we can get some tough tackles in and let them know they aren't going to run the show, I think we've got a good chance!

I say start Marveux and maybe bring on Ober as a super sub against tired defenders.

I thought that too. I like Lee Ryder. Hated Alan Oliver though.

    I do apologise.

But for me, his articles were always so blinkered they didn't tell you anything about the game. "Newcastle lost 16 - 0, but were by far the better side, were really unlucky, the ref was **** and we should've won".

    This.

I think that Lee does as good a job as he can, bearing in mind the pressure he will be under from his editor, to run daily NUFC stories, yet with little or no assistance from the club.

If you looked at his articles every week he would put all the football cliches possible, "way wide of the mark" and "he's not just a great goalscorer, he's a scorer of great goals!!" were his favourites!!
