it would appear that we are considering offers from Italy no wonder we are being linked with Hobbs and Moore Will he be missed I know Matt likes him I prefer Cooper
Why did you state this on the morning thread then start a new one. Its annoying have the same conversation on multiple threads.... But I'll say the same thing here. I disagree, he's our second best centre back by a long way. I don't think Cellino will be keen to sell him anyway.
I agree with Josh that I think he is our second best defender. I do also feel he could be replaced without much concern.
I think he's your BEST centre back - definitely makes the least mistakes out of the rest. You could say best of a bad bunch
If Bellusci leaves then Bamba's performances may well drop. Bamba and Bellusci play well together, and more often than not, you can see Bamba misses Bellusci when he doesn't play. I like Cooper too, I'd consider moving Cooper to left back and move Taylor up to LM; Taylor did good in that position and he wouldn't have so much ground to make up after regularly running up and down pitch, he won't lose his legs as quick. I also think Cellino will be reluctant to sell him, he is a good defender for us, so what if he's a little wild; he hasn't jumped a barrier to kick a fan or took a player out within first 20 seconds yet.
I've never really felt comfortable with Byram at RB though. He's generally better up the pitch imo. Taylor is quite sound where he is albeit still learning.
In the VERY FEW games Cooper has played for us at LB (1, or 2?), he's been ok. A bit like Wootton. A CB's LB, if you like. So why would you replace someone who has been excellent with someone who might be quite good out of position? Secondly, why would you play a LB as LM when we paid good cash money for Dallas? Are you saying that Taylor is better on the wing than Dallas? I like Bellusci, btw, and want to keep him. Not convinced that he's at his best alongside Bamba. The pairing seems to bring out the petulant child in him, whereas when paired with Cooper, he takes the grown-up role & screws the nut. I think this Bellusci move is fairly academic anyway. It's getting near deadine day & clubs are scrambling to make signings. As we all know very well, even if you don't have any money, it's always good for your fans to read that you're trying to sign someone. Rarely is the shockingly low bid accepted, and on those few occasions it is, it's usually the player having 'excessive wage demands' that sees the deal fall through. Sound familiar? It's usually us that's doing it! That's what I think is happening. Another possibility is that it's his agent that's pulling a flanker. When's his contract due for renewal?
