What are your thoughts on Bellamy returning? I think it gives us important cover up front and wide left and adds more experience to a well balanced squad. Below are all the club links. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/craig-has-the-qualities-we-need After securing Liverpool's seventh signing of a busy summer, Damien Comolli gives us his thoughts on Craig Bellamy's Anfield return. Tell us why you wanted to bring Craig Bellamy back to Liverpool. First of all we were short of an attacking player once David was transferred to Bolton, so we needed someone. Craig is someone we targeted a long time ago as you can imagine. He's not a discovery for anybody, we know the quality of the player. It was a question of timing and once a fee was agreed with Bolton we spoke to Craig straightaway because we knew he had an agreement with Manchester City that he could leave the club. Both for Kenny and I it was a no-brainer and Kenny had a long conversation with Craig this morning and we organised for him to come here. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/photo-special-bellamy-is-back http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/comolli-hails-brave-owners
Hadn't properly realised how much of a fan Bellamy is - and much he is honoured to have been signed up by KK. Seems genuine and really articulate: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/video/News-and-Interviews/11-12/Bellamy-on-his--28040.php3 Can't wait... GKRK
This is just my opinion. He could be the natural stand-in for Suarez. Similar sort of player with out the skill probably, plays across the line, never gives defenders a minutes peace and is aggressive in doing so.
Bellamy is very straight talking, so I think we can safely say everything he said in the interview was genuine.
I knew he was a Liverpool supporter and you always get this sort of stuff when someone signs anywhere. However, perhaps I wasn't aware just how much he loved the club. I think he's got something to prove and I hope he delivers. I doubt he'll be playing against Fulham though.......................
He certainly does love the club. When he was a kid, his home club were languishing in the lower leagues. He has genuine affection for Cardiff and wanted to help them into the PL. his statements regarding wanting to play for Cardiff and Cardiff alone this season will be seen for what they are by genuine Cardiff fans. No resentment here and only best wishes as he enters the twilight of his PL days. All the best Bellers, you cheeky little terrier like monkey boy.
He's getting on- but he could still be decent for us... Glad he is giving us a second swing uh... go. He's a fantastic signing for the club uh... team. I'm sure he'll get several games and will get a goal in one... uh... occasional goal. Anyway you slice it. uh analyse it... I think he's worth the free transfer and the mulligan back at Liverpool
Very impressed with him when I read that he had done this.... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article7143753.ece And also happy to have him back...
