Afteroon Cardiff fan, United fan here in peace, just want to bring you news regarding your player, its good news for you. He'll get more rest and less injury and i think he could play on like Giggs is doing for us. good luck for the rest of the season.
I know Wales are struggling with player withdrawals this week but, quite frankly, I think he should have packed in after the last disastrous game. His priorities must be with us now. He has been a great servant for Wales and I'm sure everyone recognises this. The danger now is that he will try even harder in the next 2 games and risk injury as many of the squad will not be able to play to his standard. And Macedonia kicked lumps off us out there with little officials protection. This will be no different with an under strength Wales team.
Thanks for the message but I think Bellers is suffering with football. I don't think his heart is really in the game anymore. He isn't good enough to play as a playmaker in the way Giggs has adapted. I've got all the time in the world for Bellers but he's not playing well enough to start for us at the moment. I can't see him wanting to drop to the Championship with anyone else, I think this could well be his last season.
Thanks for the post, but I'm pretty sure the "news" is no surprise to most of us. I disagree about the comparison with Giggsy. I doubt Bellers will play on much longer at club level as well - his knees are pretty well shot. If he wants to be able to walk in his later years, the sooner he stops the rigours of maintaining match fitness the better. Also, although Bellers is 5 years younger than Giggsy, he chose to play more for his country than Giggsy who was often strangely "injured" when the call came. That extra wear and tear has told on him. If we're still in the Premier next season, I expect him to only play a bit part - if we go down, all options are open. He wont go anywhere else and will finish his playing days at Cardiff. He might consider the physical demands of Championship football a bridge to far at his age. On the other hand, knowing him as we do, he might just want to get stuck in to get us straight back up. Nice of you to post though, and thanks for taking the time.
he wont do a giggs, he's had too many injuries - he's a strange character that for all his faults always gives 100% to the cause and i think the national team will miss him not just because of his quality on the pitch, but the kick up the arse he tends to give the players who have the attitude that they're doing us a favour by being there. he's earned the right to decide when to call it a day
Y'know what, I'd be very happy with that. He's done his coaching badges hasn't he? He's the kind of person we need - not much expectation on his shoulders and can grow into a decent manager (like Sparky ). P.S. Nice to see you over here Matth, ignore all those bastards winding you up over on your board.
IMO Bellamy's days as a player at the highest level are all but over. His displays this season have been below average. He has lost his pace, and ability to shoot, and pass accurately. Time to bring in some talented quick winger.
^^^^^^^^^^^^ This for me as well. (you watch him have some stellar performances now just to prove us wrong!!)
Hope so - if only for him to be the first player to score for 7 different Prem clubs. I assume he won't score an og aganist us.
I actually feel sorry for Coleman. Speed was lucky in the fact that he had the opportunities to play Bale, Ramsay, Allen, Bellamy, Ash Williams etc on a regular basis, whereas Coleman has always been blighted by withdrawals and injuries etc. Without these players Wales are no better than a pub team. It will be quite frightening how limited the amount of Welsh players will play in the derby in November. Hopefully with both clubs in the PL, Swansea and Cardiff's academies will be able to develop more Welsh talent for the future as bar our first 14 senior players, Welsh football is a joke
As for Bellamy, it's a bloody shame he isn't 10 years younger, as he would have formed a formidable partnership with Ramsay, Bale and Allen Just a shame that his last game in a Welsh jersey won't be at the Millennium Stadium.
