According to the bbc website, Bellamy will be charged as the ref didn't see the incident.

"Cardiff forward Craig Bellamy could be banned for three games after apparently striking Swansea's Jonathan de Guzman in Saturday's south Wales derby.

The Football Association has decided to charge him with violent conduct over the incident, which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

The 34-year-old has until 18:00 GMT on Tuesday to respond"

If upheld this would see him miss the game with us :)

Oh, I'm sure it came as no surprise. To him, or Cardiff.

It's only ****ing fair. McGregor "lashes" out but pulls back before making any contact and gets a straight red/3 game ban... yaya toure & bellamy lash out and make contact yet get away with it.. hopefully both players will be given a 3 game ban.

He has got away with it according to the BBC. FA to take no disciplinary action.

No surprise there, the FA can be spineless dicks sometimes.

I don't know which channel you watched, but the one I saw showed it twice in slow motion and it was a blatant attack that deserved a red card.
De Guzman had his back turned and Bellamy must have ran about 6 yards with his arm raised to elbow him in the back of the head. How the ref missed it is a mystery.

I was watching the game and it was basically a love tap from Toure and vanWolfswanker made a right meal of it. That said, there's no shortage of players who have been suspended for the same and less so he should be having a rest! As for Bellamy, that nasty, little trailer park boy could start a fight in a phone booth.

I was watching it on NBC.

Anyway its good for us. Got to love the better players on teams getting redcards at the end of the season when they are needed most.

This decision just further proves the fact that the FA favour the big clubs.

There isnt much in that kick. He hardly touches him and the dude rolls around like he got shot in the back. I am not surprised he didnt get punished.

There was more contact than when Sagbo got a red for the headbutt. The intent was there, end of. 3 match ban. The FA have made themselves look very weak with this.

What's the difference between that and McGregor or Sagbo?

There isn't a difference. So it was a ban.

Sagbo clearly intended on headbutting someone. I dont see the intent necesarily there its a contact sport, sometimes contact can happen. Infact if you watch the video he appears to make contact with the guys leg not back.

You dont accidentialy headbutt someone although going for a header you can but not when play has stopped. I dont think McGregor should have gotten a red card.

I don;t think he should have either, but you have to be consistent.
