Bellamy targets Anfield return Liverpool want him on a free transfer....can I see Citeh allowing him to join a team capable of taking points off them, even if arguably not actually challenging them in the table? I doubt it somehow...
I dont, think it makes perfect sense for Man C, they have found a club who is willing to get him off the wage bill. Also Bellamy gets to play for a club who will challenge for the Champions league, he will get starts as well as Andy Carroll isnt the fittest of players. I want him back here as much as the next Cardiff fan, but this would be Bellers last crack of the whip for a top 6 football team, and he gets paid. He would be mad not to accept.
Agreed CityAce. If Bellers gets the chance he would be mad not to take it and no City fan should blame him if he did. The interesting bit will be the length of contract he is offered taking into account his age and injury issues. If he goes there, Joe Cole anyone wages notwithstanding? I suspect Harry will try to get him to Spurs although I have to say I have never rated him. I don't know what his role in a team is. Short, not quick enough for a winger, not a good tackler and doesn't score many goals. Okay for a half time ball juggler though.
Agree, nothing to do with loyalty and who would begrudge Bellers a move to Liverpool? I wouldn't. I wasn't much of a Bellers fan previous to him coming to Cardiff last season but fair play to the lad he has proved me wrong in my estimation of him. He may have a little climb down from his statement about not playing for another club other than Cardiff but I think everyone can ignore that for a club of Liverpools stature. If it'd been another side in the lower end of the prem maybe some minor dissent, if it was the Swans!!! hang him high Whatever Craig choses it should be the best for him, but never the Swans
I think that statement was more heart over head than anything else....fair play, he might want to come back but reality dictates he's got to look after himself financially as he doesn't have many more seasons left. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
If he can go to Liverpool and get over £60,000 a week (even if he is not starting all the time) I can't see him coming here for less than half that money, can you? It was very noble of him to come to us last year and we all respect him for the job he did and the way he went about it - but remember, he didn't lose any cash from his own pocket for doing it. It's looking less likely by the day that he'll come back - there are continuing rumours (USA, Sunderland, Liverpool) but we are no longer being mentioned.
Good luck to him I say, he gave us his best shot last season and if others had played with the same passion, who knows where we would be now. So from me it's Thanks Craig now do the best for your family.
My doubts are more about whether Man City would let him go...and for free at that?...to a rival in their own league pushing for a Champions League finish? As for Craig, if he wants a shot back at Anfield, then fair play to him!
If bellamy wanted to come to cardiff he would have, he is being greedy and putting money before anything else, come on he is going to liverpool on a free and he could have joined cardiff on a free if he wanted to,,,, he is a multi millionaire and would have still had a good wage packet with cardiff.....the guy is money mad and dont give a **** about cardiff like a lot of delusion fans think he does.....he has just proved it by joining liverpool...
Not sure that Man City seem that bothered about helping rivals anymore. They have just let Adebayor join spurs havent they? Maybe spurs arent seen as a great rival at the moment but they have been fighting for that Champions League place over the last few seasons.
if he is allowed to go for free sparkey then why does he not come to cardiff on a free.......thats my point its money first club second and when you are a multi millionaire then he is telling cardiff that you cant afford me.....What would you say would be his weekly wage before bonuses at cardiff, I bet it would be more than our top earners at swansea and he could get image rights on top.....that is why bellamy's credibility has gone down in my book as he could have joined cardiff if he really wanted to......im not having a go mind sparkey its just an observation that i cannot understand after all the hype that he wants to play for cardiff...
The main thing is real Cardiff fans wish Craig all the best whatever he decides, what other fans think who cares.
Dai, you're an arsehole, you talk through your arsehole, basically you talk ****, you come on here spouting your verbal **** because no one on the jacks board will listen to your ****. Now **** off I'm damn sure Mr Bellamy doesn't give a **** what you think and I'm sure as **** sure I don't.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Craig hasn't signed for anyone and MC haven't declared him a free agent. I've said before I don't think it's the top 6 thing but that it could be Liverpool. He's shown no interest in going to Spurs. The Liverpool story gathered a lot of pace but everytime it's been reported every story has the same lack of facts or quotes from anyone involved. As said above, if he gets one last chance with Liverpool, no one can or should blame him.
"The main thing is real Cardiff fans wish Craig all the best whatever he decides, what other fans think who cares." There you go Jck200, speaking for other people again. you may be nearer the truth that before when you said that all Cardiff fans wished the Jacks well but as I said then, speak for yourself, don't endow yourself with the right to speak for me, you don't have it!
