In a documentary to be shown on ITV4 at 9pm GMT tonight, the Liverpool striker reveals why he feels so committed to helping youngsters in a country still recovering from a brutal civil war. The Welshman said: "I've never done a documentary before, I felt totally out of my comfort zone but it was something that had to be done. "I'm a private man - who you see on the pitch is not who I am off it - so making this has been a learning experience for me as well." Established in 2007, the Craig Bellamy Foundation is a charity offering under-privileged children in Sierra Leone the chance to reach their potential through sport and education. Just watched that programme and have to say well done Craig. He does seem a lot calmer now so maybe that's down to this charity work - as he says it changed him as a person.
I was talking to someone about this and I can't remember who it was. Long time no see Johnsons. Howdo
For those who were watchin the match when this was on like me, its on itv player, crazy timin by the schedulers to put this on at the same time as live footy
Well I think fair play and all that but the guy aint calmer... but off the pitch he does seem more matured. Maybe joey barton ought to go do this.
