The beer's good but you need to drink shed loads of it to wipe the trauma of being in that ****hole out of your mind
I lived in Belgium for four years. Very comfortable place to be with plenty to offer if you look hard enough.
There is more to Dan's deep hatred of Belgium than meets the eye. I speak for all GC when I say we deserve to know.
I like Belgium. Went out with a girl from a place called St Niklaas for a while. Used to meet up regularly in Amsterdam. Very pretty she was too.
In my Cloggie days, I ended up doing an XML course in Leuven. Because they can't decide between French and Flemish, they end up offering a lot of courses in English as a compromise. The only drawback is that they don't use the traditional QWERTY keyboard as standard which really threw me. The course instructor eventually took pity and got me one.
Only been to Belgium once. To Ostend in the 70's, for a holiday (think my dad discovered a bargain too good to miss). I don't recall the year, but we arrived toute en famille about a fortnight after Tottenham fans had basically demolished the ****ing place. Which made for a very warm and and welcoming reception for English holidaymakers.
