Gone are the days when the teenagers of West Belfast could steal a car with a teaspoon and have it hot wired in seconds. In the past 2 weeks there has been 10 carjackings as the joyriders are finding it more difficult to break into cars. They have now resorted to pulling mostly women from their cars, in some cases driving off with people in the car. What is going on? Mick, Ciaran have you any answers?
Most of them don't bother nicking cars these days because you can whack in and get 1996 Hyundai accent for about 100 quid, then take it on a joy ride. If you are caught you get several points on your non-existent license rather than 2 years in jail for theft and dangerous driving.
Clearly still a problem there with the amount of jackings in the past few weeks. Maybe it's the thrill of the chase, the chance to drive a better car than an accent or maybe they just don't want to cough up the £ for a scrapper.
It is nigh on impossible to steal a new car. That's why they are doing this or breaking into peoples houses and stealing the keys.
All of them. Well known fact that is. Rebelling against the suppression and sexual abuse of the Cafflick Church is what it is.
shouldnt be a problem while there are thick ****s on the road tbh I was sitting in my car a few years back chatting to someone outside my house, A few doors up a women in a new mondeo pulls up, leaves the car running, gets out and knocks on a door I see 2 lads walking up and i genuinely saw it before they did it, the basically jumped in the car and drove off Turns out the woman was an insurance/assurance rep and was collecting money Another time I was with mates when a delivery driver was 'robbed' of his car The guy had gone to do a delivery and left his ignition on and door open as he ran upto the house with the food
As I understand it, West Belfast has a predominantly Republican population and Catholicism is the principal religion in Eire. So being almost as intelligent as Fan, I made this simple conclusion.
I've always thought Medro was the most impartial poster here, that's why I backed his nomination to be GC mod
Its laziness and poor training We had this for years with people believing an immobiliser in your car could stop car theft. A lad I know went to youth offenders for car crime..........in there they sent him on a car mechanics course where they taught him even more about cars One of the key things he picked up was how these immobilisers were like the brains of the car & could easily be rewired to disable it Once out he was able to nick any car he wanted to
i was on gumtree last night looking at old cars them thick irish couldnt even steal a old fiesta xr2 it was going cheap as a attempted theft ,****ing ******s
