Fully agree Matt Typical of Dripford - a third rate politician who can’t believe the power he can exert. If he honestly believes that Omicron is as “virulent” as earlier strains, why wait until midnight on the 26th to close nightclubs, he should have done it when he announced it officially last Friday - why wait 10 bloody days …. As for football, rugby etc you can’t attend but can go to a theatre and sit indoors to watch a pantomime ….
I believe there's a virus I believe in the vaccinations but I also believe a that 3rd rate no mark politicians and some so called scientists are using the pandemic as a power trip for their own ends. Where else for example would £500 million be spent ( conservative final estimate ) on duelling the heads of the valleys A465 to : "improve traffic flow and make it safer to overtake make the road safer, especially around junctions and areas with poor visibility" then slap a 50 mph speed limit on it.The Welsh NHS is close to collapse ( this was before the pandemic ) and yet with have to continue to suffer whilst millions if not billions are being set aside so Wales becomes carbon neutral . Great for the planet so so for the poor souls who have to try and obtain immediate medical help .

It would appear Drunkford tried to pass the "regulation " of fining the employee as well as the employer under the auspice of the one passed by earlier in the pandemic but forgot to let other voting members know hence making it void
In a few weeks time we will know if this was a wise or disastrous decision. We couldn’t run our shifts in the factory last week so many off with it. One in 45 have it in England. I think it is going to be bad
