Would you have swapped Bego and £10million for Harte?

That's a big call Cris... Hart and Begovic are both excellent. As for how much! It depends on WHAT clubs will pay. Aka Gareth Bale he's good but FFS he's not worth 86 million. <yikes> IMO Begovic is priceless to SCFC BUT they all have a price and IF it's silly money who knows? Roll on Monday night and hope he's still our player.

I hope he still is a Stoke City player on Monday. That's not the end of the pitch we need to mess about with.

not a chance on earth, I have said for years that Hart is massively overrated. I would want £20 million plus Hart and Hart would be our reserve keeper, he is shocking for a top 4 club to have!!!

I was only asking a question. I keep hearing Bego has a price of £20 million. Some people think that Harte is worth loads. Personally every time I have seen Harte recently he has been poor. He cost Man City at Cardiff, he cost England a goal against Scotland.

For me he has gone backwards since 2011 and the Cup Final.

He is most suspect at corners so Stoke I hope get some opportunities on 14th September against him.

Really do you still think that Crouch still has that in his armour? I for one do not. I have to say overall I think Crouchy has suffered with the way we played with TP. At times along with others Crouch looked lost as the ball came in to his feet in the first half. He also seems to have lost weight if that is possible.

I'd prefer to get rid of both of them.

    Yes indeedy Nicky,
I think Cris is right tbh, Crouch will still score given the service re crosses and we now have TWO wingers to supply him. For me Walters has never shown his full potential either. I'm not sure where I would play him now. Given that Adam, N'Zonzi, Wilson look like they are MHs new midfield set up, along with Wilson P. Shotton nowhere near since MH arrived and same with Wilko until last night? As we've all said, most of our (old first 11 were and are still not good enough) Whitehead has moved on too!

Enjoyed the game last night, the new full back looks excellent, cool and calm on the ball and nice to see him actually get onto the pitch. As for Jones? I would prefer we keep him and ship Walters out! Adam and N'Zonzi are both better playing just behind Crouch/Jerome or Jones. It was only Walsall, no offence to them. But, once they scored we took it up another notch and put the game to bed. Under that other guy. We would have panicked and maybe just sat back. We are not the finished article by some distance. But, again I saw some good movement, good quality passing and cool heads on the ball. As for Jones? He took his chances when they came and WELL done that MAN. <ok> Play to our new strengths re Assaidi, Wilson in midfield, maybe another goal getter and we WILL be OK this season.

Thanks for that Potts, sounds really positive.

I think the reality is that our main strikers are Championship level at best.

    Morning Nick <ok>
No problem and I've just read the Sentinel. Aaron Hunt re Verder Bremen striker was (at the game last night) seem's the clubs had done a deal so we'll see what happens. He looks good on Videos etc but so does my Son in Law!! Would love to get a big name striker in re Defoe etc but, I fear that's asking too much even for Mark Hughes to pull off. At least he's doing/done something before the last hour on deadline day. <party> I'm sure we're on the up Nick, MH just needs more time to sort out our BETTER 11 and all I have seen so far is looking far, far more positive than previously under the no longer Mr Dick Tator. <party>

    Have a nice day mate.

I wouldn't say they are all Championship level, Jones can be excellent, trouble is he only seem to want to do it about 5 times a season. Walters is questionable, at times has shown his worth, but as Potts said, I don't know where he'd play or if there's a use for him now. Jerome will still get goals, but we've not seen him start many games, but I'd be happy with him as a sub, especially if he's going to get more than 5 minutes. And Crouch will get goals too, given good service, though I doubt we'll see another goal like against Citeh. We're not going to set the league on fire with them, but we're hardly relegation fodder either. And we've got that American dude coming in January, he's scored 6 in 7 games in the MLS.
It's not all doom and gloom yet...
