Good evening Saints it´s been a while
    Since I came passing by,
So far this year has only seen
    You up there flying high,
    How many more surprises could
    You spring before our eyes,
Before this season´s jollities are done

    I know when Pochettino came
    The murmurings were loud,
But no-one can but agree now
He´s since done you all proud,
And who knows you may yet this year
    Reach back into the clouds,
Before this season´s jollities are done

Some England players too you boast
    A feather in your cap,
    For Lambert especially, I´d say
    Well done you aged chap,
How many more down there might find
A place, and so say ´snap´,
Before this season´s jollities are done

But further up the eastern shore
    We´re still holding our own,
Not sparkling quite as bright as you
And there are some who moan,
But believe me we´ll prove again
    We´re better than we´ve shown,
Before this season´s jollities are done

So when we come to St. Marys
    Around the mid-March time,
I´m hoping that by then we will
    Have started on a climb,
So that, as in the previous years
    We end up looking fine,
Before this season´s jollities are done. :)

I'm obtaining quite a little collection of these. Stumbled over a few of them while clearing old data off a HDD. Decided it was time they had their own folder. This one goes in there too. Not your usual rhythm, RBF.

Morning Stain, No not quite the same as usual, but apparently a favourite style of Dylan Thomas, or so I´ve been told, so if it´s good enough for him................................................................ :):):)

I like Norwich, the people and the football club. That maybe because my great, great grandfather was from Norfolk. His parents were from Suffolk though but I have never felt any affection for Ipswich. Dam it they play in blue and as we say in this neck of the woods "Do I not like blue".

We feel the same up our way too
An aversion to the colour blue,
And yet when our club first was aired
The kit they wore was blue and white squared,
    A strange colour for Canaries
Which soon changed to yellow, to please,
And that has lasted till this day
No more will blue enter the fray. :)

Being a northerner, I've always rather liked Norwich ever since I discovered it was north of Birmingham.

I love Under Milk Wood and often tease the very lovely Mrs Godders by telling her she is "The one love of my life. A life that has been sardined with women."

The short love "duet" between Blind Captain Cat and the one love of his sea life Rosie Probert is possibly the most loving piece of poetry you will ever read.

I volunteered to read it at my nieces wedding but my brother would have none of it.

Here is Richard Burton reading it in 1953, listen from 2.12 through to 6.23 and tell me your heart hasn't been touched.
