the short trip up the m4 for a derby game at brentford should be just what we need at this critical time of the season, the fans will be very vocal on both sides and a large blues following will hopefully roar us on to victory but a point wouldnt be a bad result either.harper coming into the midfield should strengthen it up for us which is what we have been lacking in recent weeks.i am still not convinced by joel grant, despite his undoubted talent he doesnt put in a shift for 90 minutes and sometimes looks disinterested, this is not the type of player we need for this game,we need battlers who are gonna give their all.once again we rely heavily on the little maestro up front the beever and if he has a good game we have every chance of getting a result.it will be interesting to see how laing does at the back against a more potent strike force than rochdale had ,but i was very impressed with him last week so lets hope he has another good game today.i think it will be a five goal thriller but we will need to score 3 to win it cos we cant defend. come on you blues.lets hope for a 3 - 2 win and a beever hatrick.
Big game today. We've looked stronger in the past couple of games after some awful performances. Brentford are a bit patchy at home this season and on a 7 game winless run. Could be a chance to get back-to-back wins for the first time this season and get out the drop zone. Should be a decent size away crowd as usual for this fixture and looking forward to getting down to one of the pubs by the ground with a load of fellow Blues for some pre match beers and then hopefully a massive 3 points.
Brentford were 2-0 up inside 30mins against Huddersfield last week. They even outscored them in goal attempts. I can't see us keeping them out to be honest. 2-0 by half time, game over. Final score 3-1. PS. I'm not very good at predicting scores. Hopefully I've got this the wrong at round.
listening on player another dismal performance from the blues, surprise surprise joel not tracking back at all why cant waddock see this, foster on his own against 2 of their players every time.i hate to say it but its time for waddock to go
We are now rock bottom, even below Chesterfield and Rochdale. FFS Yeovil beating Preston 2-0, Rochdale beating Bury 3-0, Chesterfield beat Bournemouth last night. Hopeless.
it will be interesting to hear wandermagics views on todays game was it as bad as it sounded on player
i think our players would be at home working in a chip shop because they are used to getting battered
Hi Rocky, just seen the posting you left on our board............."Colewe the laughing stock"..........,Pardon?

sounds terrible, gutted how were now bottom of the league...wondering what the first half formation was, couldnt work out if it was a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-2 with harper, bloomers or lewis out wide...how did harper play?
Harper wasn't as good as I expected but I suppose it was his first game in ages, he got better I think - He missed a shot though! Foster seemed a liability, especially in the first half. and they capitalised on that - banging down their left wing. Grant had brilliant moments but gave the ball away too easily too often and didn't put the effort in to defend and help foster out. I thought Ainsworth made a real difference when he replaced Stuart Lewis after half time. Strevs was good at times and was winning a lot of headers but missed a couple of clear shots. First time I'd seen Louis Laing play didn't he didn't have a great game
Its the fact we just cannot defend! We have picked up so much in front of goal, with 18 goals in the last 10 matches but in that time have lost 6 matches. Its frightening how cr*p we are at the back.
The first half today was every bit as bad as the Huddersfield match. Disorganised defence, waiting for the ball to come to them instead of attacking it, no protection from the midfield who just watch the opposition run past them, and you couldn't even tell what the formation was supposed to be. Brentford were bigger, stronger, quicker, more positive and better organised than us. At least Waddock made a change at half time (might just have been because Lewis was injured?) and the team responded with some spirit in the second half, which in a way makes it more frustrating because the forwards showed they were capable of causing problems. I thought Harper tried hard and never gave up, but he must be wondering what he's let himself in for. There are just too many players out of their depth in League One.
