Morning folks, I'm heading to the Villa game a week today. First time at OT, where is the best place for a few pints before/after the game?

How are you getting to Manchester? Or is it coach straight to the ground?

Best place for both and pre match beer is in town so it depends on that. Pubs around the ground are all ok if nothing special, popular ones like the Bishops Blaize are packed out though.

I always went for a pint at the cricket ground. No idea why, just did!

If I were a visting fan I'd go to Shambles square just near Victoria station and drink in Sinclairs or one of the pubs nearby. Sinclairs is best though for good Sam Smith's beer cheap as ****.
Then go in on the tram, get off at the cricket ground and walk up.

I always tend to drink in the Quays pre match and non of the pubs are particularly good to be honest. Sam Platts used to be ok.
