you can see who's left the tags rep now. Also, the chat box is back. I missed you. Where you been anyways?
Visited my bird then when I got back tried to spend my time more productively. Big party up the lane, sky lit up with lasers, rich bloke's much younger wife's 40th birthday, 9 months younger than me! I'm too pathetically shy to attempt to gatecrash it. Probably be the most exciting thing to happen in this postcode for a decade.
I don't know, is that a film reference? This week, I 'ave been mostly watching Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious Universe and Old Country with Jack Hargreaves.
No, torrents, I've got hundreds of hours of TV downloaded, those are a couple I remember from childhood which are fascinating. The first is about the paranormal and trying to explain it from "the author of 2001 and inventor of the communications satelite", the second just a trip down memory lane before all this new-fangled modern technology. I could sit and watch them all day: http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/317478309/arthur+c+clarke?tab=summary http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/279592989/jack+hargreaves?tab=summary
I have 110 gigs of documentaries on Space from two torrents. Getting worried as I'm quickly running out of stuff I haven't watched yet as well.
Just bought one of these to back up all me stuff to Seagate External 3TB drive. Bet I fill it up before the year is done. I have to do it this way because broadband in the sticks makes streaming impossible.
But actually a top tip for you if you like torrents and big hard drives. Buy an Apple TV 2 from your nearest Apple store, jailbreak it and install XBMC http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO:Install_XBMC_on_Apple_TV_2 Every one of your media files will play straight from the hard drive to the tv, even when they have been RARed. I've got a little dedicated Acer computer running Linux and XBMC plugged into my big tv in the living room, with two Apple TVs networked around the house using powerline networking to access the all the content stored on my Linux machine and my external hard drive. I can download a bluray rip in 10 minutes and watch it on any tv in the house without even involving a computer.
Mick you need to delete the chat box, it'll be impossible to monitor on weekdays and will kill GC. You should have it on a Fri and Sat night only.
It didn't really kill the forums last time, some arsehole would start a conversation with another arsehole about something boring - like the city of Hull - then we'd all think **** this for a game of soldiers, I am going to browse through the threads to see if there is anything interesting going on.
