Many people have Dan. I thought I'd cracked it years ago and then someone reminded me of what I'd said [in praise I may add] but it sounded like I'd been way off the mark.

If I think about it these days it is not trippy, as I have also made out before. I think Dave Bowman is entering and experiencing the alien universe, which sent the monolith millions of years before to be a fingerpost to mankind. During those moments he able to experience his past, present, future and rebirth in one fleeting moment in time. The last bit where he's an as yet unborn child in the womb gazing down on the Earth always gave me a sense of knowledge and wisdom and yet the innocence of learning. Bowman looks down upon the Earth like some God-like figure, having seen all their is to see and learn, but is an unborn baby, yet to be patterned, fashioned and educated into knowledge and wisdom.

Either that or he's had too many Magic Mushrooms. :)
 
Gordon Taylor - what an ar$ehole. He consistently avoids making difficult decisions - I`ve never understood what he does for his £1M plus salary - then he pisses it all away gambling. Hypocrite. I wonder what lower league players on low wages make of it.
