American Beauty is my favourite movie. Best movie ever. Sam Mendes peaked too early though and none of his other films have been brilliant - Away We Go was poor.

On the subject of worst films, there's a film called Manos: The Hands of Fate. It's on youtube and only an hour long, it's extremely boring but funny at the same time!

It is a fabulous film, but it's not my favourite. I remember seeing it at the cinema and thinking what a great film it was and then went along and saw Being John Malkovich and that was just as good in its own way. Personally, I don't have a favourite film. I have a list of them which keeps changing in order, but they are constants. They range from hard-to-watch/heavy experience films to easy-on-the-eye-and-brain types. Probably the one that would always come with me to the mythical desert island would be 2001 - A Space Odyssey. But that doesn't mean that it is my out-n-out favourite film. ;)

By the way, I've still got Radio 5 Live going on in the background and it reminds me that a chap came on the 606 phone-in and said that he was watching Swansea v ManU on Channel 11 on his ordinary Freeview TV, to which the presenters had no answer. I must admit, I'm at a loss as to how that happened, but Qwerty flagged this up earlier today to say it was being broadcast. How is Pick TV getting this stuff..?

I have a top 5 or so and then a muddled up order of loads of other favourites. A Clockwork Orange is probably my favourite Kubrick film but 2001 is second, just ahead of The Shining!

I also wouldn't say American Beauty is among my favourites. It's very good, of course, and well, you know... Mena Suvari's tits. Slightly diminished by Thora Birch's tits.

And Spacey knocking one off in the shower while I'm watching it at the cinema with my then "to be" mother in law!

Probably unsurprisingly, I didn't find the young girls sexy at all. However, I didn't find Annette Bening that attractive either, because she was acting her character so well. I felt the aching pain between Spacy and Bening's characters, and it didn't help at the time that my wife and I were on the verge of breaking up and Annette Bening bears a remarkable resemblance to her. Bening was lovely in The American President though. I did identify with Spacey's character a great deal. It's a tragedy his life was ended, but the film is better for his end.

Sky show two games on Sundays and one on Thursdays with Channel 4 taking the other Sunday game, then BBC shows MNF on Mondays. Every single one of the five game times is on TV.

One thing I didn't know until the other day, while purposely watching ITV for the first time in donkey's ages [England v Scotland], that ITV do a Bundesliga round-up on Monday nights. I might tune in.

It's always a laugh the defending in most games is awful.

Congrats to Pompey winning today. Perhaps the EDL march to the ground brought them good luck. Perhaps they should have an EDL march in Portsmouth every weekend?

What's that? They do?

I watched that at the cinema with my now wife, then girlfriend, with her mum just after her husband had died. I still remember the early shower scene now, thinking OMG.....

avoid eye contact at all times
