Yeah but she's a young gal and she did say that it was too heavy for her to use in one hand so presumably, relative to her strength at least, it must be quite heavy. And tbf, I was mostly avoiding Not606 while watching it.
Ned's daughter. I'm crap at names.
I never said I liked Brony stuff!
'Twas towards the end of Episode 3, Ned's daughter was getting sword fighting training from a dude with a Spanish accent.

Yeah, Arya doesn't use a proper sword. She uses a wooden sword when practicing with Syrio, and she has Needle which is a teeny custom made sword.
If anything's unrealistic, it's the bit right at the beginning of the first episode where she perfectly fires a bow. Now those things require more strength than you'd think.

Wooden things can still be heavy.
Damn right they do, especially of your shoulder muscles.
The sick couple that killed their lil boy have got 30yrs minimum. Hope they get killed in prison the sick bastards.
What a **** sentence. They should have done what they did in America and hand down a 1000 year sentence.
You realise there are no tricks or special effects in that scene, right? Maisie Williams actually did learn to do the swordfighting properly, so what you are seeing is a 12/13 year old girl sparring with a wooden sword.
Well I'm sure in real life, that sword was probably quite light, but in character, presumably it wouldn't have been. Or I'm taking her comments too literally.
Castro's crimes were worse though, as the torture was over a longer period of time and he did it to three people. The word "minimum" is the key word in this couple's sentence anyway, because I seriously doubt people like that can be reformed over any length of time.
