Don't think this is necessarily the case. I doubt Pearson's heard anything, it's just business as usual. Getting rid of the over-paid players was surely part of his original remit. Just a shame we couldn't sell Beckford a year ago, instead of having to pay part of his wages.

If Beckford does go, it will take approx £1.5m off our wage bill next season. That wage allows for 2 decent Championship players to be brought in, or 1 decent Premiership player who just might give a **** (wage wise that is).
