    Sorry if this has been done before but another thread has made me ponder this question and i'm not to sure what i would prefer.
    (this is all very HYPOTHETICAL)

    Picture the scene, we are the early kick off, last game of THIS season (see why its hypothetical yet) and Newcastle lose their game 2-1 but are left a point ahead of 2nd place with an inferior goal difference. 5under1and are playing 2nd place later on and would be relegated if they could not muster a win from somewhere.

    Who would you support? What outcome would you be praying to your particular God for? Which result would leave you with the biggest feeling of satisfaction?

    Option A
    NUFC win the title if 5under1and win their game

    Option B
    5under1and are relegated but we miss out on our 1st trophy in a long time?


    Personally I would rather the mackems won their game and we won the title, but only because it would mean a title for us and derby games.
    But I do feel if we came 2nd in the league i would be proud of the lads and "I WOULD LOVE IT JUST LOVE IT" if the mackems were relegated

    Trophy every time, it wouldn't be as fun if we couldn't beat them again the next year.

    i'm worried all this 3rd place business has got us excited and talking about trophys <yikes>

    Can see this being extremely one sided. Would be interesting to see whether the Mackems would prefer them to go down or us to win the title though.

    Option A, I dont want them to get relegated, the derbies are brilliant. Anyone who is that desperate for Sunderland to lose needs to take a good hard look at themselves.

    Surely though, if any so called Toon fan would even consider losing out on the title to ensure Sunderland's relegation they're not worthy of a black & white shirt, right?

    It's like "what would you choose? A) You win the lottery.. or... B) You get stabbed in the cock"... <doh>
