Interesting to see that whilst Bebe was in the middle of the celebrations, Obertan was nowhere to be seen. Does that mean SAF still hopes that Bebe will break through in the next couple of years, but has given up on Obertan?
I dunno, but the rest of the squad seemed pretty happy for him to be involved. Maybe he's shown a lot of improvement over the last few months? And he's played a couple of league games. It's not like it's never happened before - David May was right in the middle of the 99 CL celebrations even tho he hadn't played a game.
The players seem to really like Bebe and eventhough he was not really involved in our title win, it was nice to see Bebe happy and it seems he has a lot of friends. I am sure Ferguson will give him a chance and I think we should as fans support him. Though it was funny seeing him lift the trophy, something Gerrard can only dream to do.
Fair point, but I get the feeling David May might have atleast been giving the first teamers at the time who were a sight younger than him the benefit of his experience. Either like you said, Bebe has shown some improvement or he's gatecrashing someone elses party!
I doubt he was gatecrashing anything, he was clearly invited to the party by squad members and clearly is liked by Evra, Nani, the twins and Valencia and Hernandez and when he lifted it, it was because Evra was dragging him to lift it and was encouraged to do so by squad members and of course he enjoyed doing it. The players clearly wanted him there so where is the problem? He is a liked squad member and I am sure he will prove many fans wrong. Out of all the players I want to do well from our young squad members it is him!!! It would be amazing if he proved people wrong as it seems people have already written him off after 4 games.
That's a refreshing take on the whole situation of Bebe. However, I don't see the potential in the lad to be a key United contributor. Of course, I'd love him to prove me wrong and be yet another masterstroke of an acquisition by Sir Alex!

I feel the same way - I think far too many Utd fans have taken last season's transfer market frustrations out on him. He may be lacking in basic training at the moment, but he definitely seems to have the energy and enthusiasm to succeed. And wouldn't it be sweet if he did after all the bs the ABUs have thrown at us about him
I can see it now, 2 mins to go UTD 1 nil down to the dippers. UtD must win the game to win the league over said dippers. SAF brings on Bebe, who scores 2 wonder goals in the space of a minute. Kenneth gets sacked, and KPR hangs himself.
