    The result disappointed
    Us all yesterday,
    But no-one should fret
    About our state of play,
    We gave just as good
As we got, for long spells,
    And were beaten only
    By one of those marvels,
    That not many keepers
    Would have gotten near to,
So, that it should give them
    The points, was fair dos,
    But Krul had to be
    On his very best game,
    To deny Zak Whitbread
    His moment of fame,
    And had we taken
    A point from this fray,
    It wouldn´t have been
    Undeserved, I would say,
    J. Howson I thought
    Impressed, and looked the part,
    Considering this was
    Just his second start,
    The way that he and
    D. Fox especially,
    Set our attacks up
    Was a joy to see,
    So although the points
    Went to those on Tyneside,
    Just like the scoreline
    The gap wasn´t wide. OTBC

    Have a good week all,

    Yours,

Hi RBF. I think it was more frustrating than disappointing - Krul had a superb game, Morison and Surman could, and probably should have done better!

We'll play worse than that and win! Life and the dream carries on! <ok>

    Dave,

If this is our bad patch
    Then let it so be,
    Much better to be
    Sitting here comfortably,
    All teams will have one
    At some point or so,
    So good that there are
    Only nine games to go,
    For those bottom three
    Have a mountain to climb,
    We shouldn´t be concerned
    At all, at this time,
    I watched Wolverhampton
    In their Man U. fray,
    And although nowt´s certain
    -should be a pay-day. :)

the only thing bad about this patch is the results, forget the cup, that was never in our plan this year,

we played Man Utd off the park for long spells and only fell by a single goal to the champions
Wigan played excellently and that was just a day when we had a great game with as much to be thankful for getting the point as they were unlucky too, could have gone either way
Yesterday we should have got something out of the game but fell by a single goal to another top 6 side

3 points will see us safe if that comes in a win or three draws so be it ! OTBC!

jarold, I think we´re actually safe now, if you have a quick peep across at surgeryman´s `Can we please` thread, and look at my comment, you´ll see the games that the bottom three have left. <yikes>

You have indeed re assured me RBF but cannot see where the next win will come from, especailly with all the chopping and changing that Lambert is doing.

That said, QPR, Wolves and Wigan would rather be where we are now!

I´ll stick my neck out surgeryman, and say it´ll come on Saturday, Wolves looked awful yesterday, to put it mildly.

I almost want us to lose on Saturday! Poor old Connor looked so lonely and forlorn! I feel for him, I really do!

I thought he looked exactly what he is Dave, out of his depth. You are 0-5 down to United at home and you bring on Ebanks-Blake. Good shout. Except he took off Fletcher and still played with one up front. You do owe it to the fans to give it a go when you're that far behind, 10 men or not.

If I held it up on a board in front of him he'd miss it.
