Wow, I have to applaud ME & Clegg when it's signed and sealed as this is their best bit of business yet. It's very encouraging to see we are making the proper moves in terms of running the Academy. I'm a bit stunned by this..
Quite disappointed, actually. As an incredibly rare visitor to your forum I saw the headline "Bearer of seriously good news!!!" and assumed that was how you guys had found out that your esteemed neighbours from north of the border had unveiled their new management team - one week exactly after the last one went awol. Can't beat a chief exec who 'chief execs' If you did miss the announcement, it will get a mention on the regional networks news a bit later!
Again, that's all you have to look forward to this season? Clinging to the hope we get relegated... Oh dear, obviously you're expecting another mid table battle at best... Surely you'd like us to stay up, that way, we won't have to put another 9 goals past you.
Trouble is blackrat, you missed the window of opportunity. You dont have Lambert anymore so you can't give it the billy big bollocks unless Hughton manages to keep you up, come back in October and we'll see how things are looking
You forget Hampy, now that Norwich have Who-ton, he is better than any manager in the whole wide world, pep, jose and sir alex have less credentials!
you just don't get it do you! we've appointed a very good manager - a highly respected coach and man. have a read of this, it'll warm your heart... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18358901?
its funny - the ONLY fans who don't rate him are ipswich fans (even qpr fans - who seem to hate us more than you do think he's a great appointment). can't see why that would be...
Problem is supers, is that you lot ****ing yourselves silly doesn't mean that he will be a success! as i stated before he has a lot less credentials than some managers who have failed big time in the premiership. I feel sorry for him in a way, because Lambert took your club an incredible distance, if he doesn't match it he is a failure, so as soon as the slightest whiff of not matching what has been achieved the crowd will turn. I know you will bleat on that it isn't true, but all fans are the same, they will pick holes in his team selections and start saying 'Lambert would have done this'. Its basically a no win job.
I'm not saying he is not a good manager i'm just saying that he has not yet proved himself enough for me to say he is a good manager i think at Newcastle he was quite lucky with the squad that he inherited and that squad was too good for the Championship so half his job was done, i know he started ok in the prem with them but was then sacked(don't know why), and at Brum i think he was average...................IMO.
