Beardsley Talk

So some people went to the Beardsley talk-in tonight and naturally have revealed everything on twitter.

Basic summary:

- He would like the club to sign PSG striker Kevin Gamiero and revealed United offered £17m (cash up front) for Carroll IMO kinda glad Liverpool rejected it
- He doesn't expect United to sell anybody in January and thinks we could sign 2 players in January at over £5million each.
- Revealed that Graham Carr is currently looking at January targets in France and that Pards was in Lille last week scouting.

 

all positive stuff.
really surprised we offered that much for AC. Hopefully with his crap displays and now injury for WHU that price is tumbling all the time.

 

If we get two 5m players in January and retain what we have I'll be over the moon. Even better if we show some intent and the deals ready to roll early doors, time for the board to get behind the manager.

Can you imagine the boost if Ince and Kjaer walked through the door in the first week in January. Neither of those particularly realistic but substitute them for just a centre half and left forward of quality. Then if Danny leaves, Debuchy can follow

We shall see as things are never that simple with our board and transfers but fingers crossed Beardo is not giving false hope.

 

I saw Beardo at a talk in at Consett RUFC and he slated Shola big time... calling him a 'lazy c**t'.... not a problem for me as long as he springs to life twice a season.

 

Damn, I had intended to go to that and completely overlooked it.

Can't imagine Pedro using the 'c' word in public, but I guess it's easy enough to let it slip out when you're so passionate about something.

Saw some great videos on the journeys to Southampton, Stoke and Fulham recently with him and the team of that era scoring goals for fun.

 

One thing about Beardo, he speaks his mind.

I remember him fielding a question about 3 years agonwhen some people were mentioning Harper for England. Beardo said not only wasn't he a international quality keeper, he wasn't premiereship standard.
